A simple guide to the Billboard Latin Music Week 2022

Latin music has grown and influenced the world over the last couple of years. Not only for the Spanish-speaking population. The genre has also gained millions of fans and listeners worldwide. Celebrating 32 years and running this event is one of the most prominent Latin music events in the world. What to expect

From September 26th through October 1st, Billboard Latin Music Week brings various programs of concerts, showcases, and panels packed with influential speakers. Some of the famous names speaking this year are Christina Aguilera, Camilo, Chayanne, Maluma, Nicky Jam, Ozuna, and many more. Check out a full list HERE. 

The Billboard Latin Music Awards are being hosted at Watsco Center Miami, Florida on September 29th and airing live at 8 pm EST on Telemundo. 

Before the main event, Telemundo will be live from 7 pm EST catching the stars on the red carpet for exclusive chats and showcasing the best looks.

We can expect live performances and music premieres from artists like Mariah Angeliq, Ozuna, and Elena Rose.

Free Concerts: Billboard En Vivo Series

There are two free concerts being hosted at Oasis Wynwood (2335 N. Miami Ave.) 

The first features Colombian singer, musician, and songwriter Camilo alongside his special guest GALE will both be gracing the stage on Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

The second features Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and world superstar Ozuna, who will be performing Wednesday at 8 pm. You can reserve your tickets HERE.

Billboard Latin Music Awards Nominations 2022

Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and actor Bad Bunny leads all nominees with 23 nominations. Colombian singer and songwriter Karol G follow with13. American singer and songwriter Becky G and Puerto Rican singer and rapper Farruko both have 11 nominations. Finally, Puerto Rican star Rauw Alejandro follows with 10 nominations. 

Puerto Rican international singer and composer Jose Feliciano will be receiving the Billboard Legend Award. Grammy Award-winning singer Christina Aguilera will be presented with the Billboard Spirit of Hope Award. While Puerto Rican award-winning singer-songwriter Nicky Jam will receive the Billboard Hall of Fame Award.

Chayanne: Icon Honor Award

With over 25 number 1 hit songs on the Billboard charts, Puerto Rican pop star, and actor Chayanne will be recognized at the awards ceremony by being presented with the Icon Honor Award. He will also be speaking at an exclusive Q&A discussing his upcoming new album and tour. This would be his first big interview in five years.
