Kashaveli X Brandez INDIRECT DEPOSITS interview

We pulled up to the illustrious NC A&T campus to tap in  with artists Kashaveli and Brandez during the video shoot for their single ‘Count’ from their recently released joint project ‘Indirect Deposits.’ These two immensely talented individuals are more than just artists, however.  Entrepreneurs and community leaders in their city these guys take grinding to a different level.

Brandez

Brandez is an independent artist originally from Chicago. Though only 3 years in the game his career seems to be destined for stardom. Named by HBCU Pulse as the HBCU artist to watch last year. He attended the same high school as the late Juice Wrld whom he had a close friendship at the time.

Dez signed his first deal with the independent label 10×10 management in 2021. Last year he also opened up for Lil Baby in South Carolina. But music isn’t his only skill. Graduating from A&T this May with a bachelor’s in computer science while running his own business ‘Know Your Worth LLC’. in the winter of 2022 the gave away clothes and nonperishables to the inner city homeless of Greensboro NC. He cites Future Drake, and Juice Wrld as some of his biggest inspirations. With a career like this, it’s hard to imagine he’s only 22 years old.

Kashaveli

Originally hailing from Henderson NC, Kashaveli came to Greensboro in 2018 to attend college. He graduates from UNCG in December with a bachelor’s in marketing. He cites DeVante Swing, Lil Wayne, Future, and Cheif Keef. A musician all his life playing the trombone, keyboard, and ukulele, he just started taking music seriously business-wise 3 years ago. Like his collaborator, he too is more than an artist. He is the CEO of  KashWay Marketing, the company where he hosts his  SpeedFest Festivals through. SpeedFest is a Festival and car show geared toward independent artists and businesses in the Carolinas. 

Outside of the music Dez and Kash are working on a SpeedFest and Know Your Worth merch collab expected to drop at the first SpeedFest of the year coming sometime in March. Follow the SpeedFest on Instagram for more updates

INDIRECT DEPOSITS The Music

Indirect Deposits is an 8-track EP produced entirely by Fatti. The first two tracks ‘Be fr’ and ‘Midas Touch ‘ are fast-paced head bobbers. The hook in ‘Be Fr’ is a definite high-energy stand-out on the project. The third track and one of the most popular tracks ‘Temptations’ slow the pace down. A track that you Cruze to late at night. The following two tracks, ‘Past Started’ and ‘Listener’ follow the same slowed down almost trippy-like pace. The sixth track, and my personal favorite, ‘Count’ blends both artists’ styles perfectly into a soothing cool, and fun track. Definitely worth being the first single for the project.
